Volunteer and Have Fun on the River
If you are seeking some excitement and want to meet new people, come to some of the local volunteer efforts for coastal and marine clean-up. This one, the Waccamaw River Clean-Up started in Conway, SC, to clean up trash and other detritus that has collected on riverbanks over the winter. About 50 volunteers brought watercraft, then met back on shore for a good, old fashioned cook-out! Fun and helpful, too.
